Message from the directors
I can remember as a child, going round to my best friend’s house on the weekends so play, and every week we would create an original musical drama production, for our ever patient parents to view. We also started our own newspaper, and painstakingly copied out articles we had written during the week, again for our parents enjoyment. When I was in year 10 I attended a Performing Arts camp through S.U.W.A, and it changed my life forever. I felt so incredibly happy, to be surrounded by such a wealth of inspiration and creativity, and many of the friends I made there have remained my best friends till now.
I know how so many wonderfully inspired ideas bubble in the hearts of children and adults of all ages, and I know how wonderful it is to be able to express these ideas, let them take flight, and see what comes of their journey. One of my greatest passions in this life is to see people young and a little older than young be free to explore the deeps of their creative minds, and revel in what they find there.
Coming on board as directors of an established school, with a wonderful team of committed teachers and managers, and classes full of creative talented students has been a great priviledge, and Pete and I are most honoured to be able to take SCAPA to the next level as an Arts Academy. We are most grateful to our wonderful team, and those who have been in the team before us who have helped make SCAPA what it is today. We are also most grateful to those of you who come along to classes, and dare to dream with us.
Thank you for being a part of the vision. And thank you for allowing others to see the wonderous creation that is you.
